BlueMountain is thrilled to announce that Brandon Cahill, Sarah Dahan, and Josh Drazen have been elected Partners of the firm, effective January 1, 2018.
NEW YORK, October 17, 2017 – BlueMountain Capital Management, LLC (“BlueMountain”), a private diversified alternative asset management firm with $22 billion in assets under management, today announced that Brandon Cahill, Sarah Dahan, and Josh Drazen have been elected Partners of the firm, effective January 1, 2018.
Brandon Cahill joined BlueMountain in 2004. Since 2010 he has been the primary portfolio manager investing in CLO tranches, and also oversees BlueMountain’s synthetic CDO and mortgage strategies. Mr. Cahill is also involved in BlueMountain’s CLO management platform and BlueMountain Fuji, focusing on the capital markets and structuring aspect of the business. Prior to joining BlueMountain, he was an Analyst in Citigroup’s Global Project and Structured Trade Finance group. He attended the University of Notre Dame, from which he graduated magna cum laude, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Mathematics.
Sarah Dahan joined BlueMountain in 2008 and is the lead Portfolio Manager for BlueMountain’s Global Volatility and Cross-Markets strategy. She is based in the firm’s London office and previously worked in the New York office. Prior to joining BlueMountain, Ms. Dahan worked in proprietary trading at J.P Morgan, where she traded agency mortgages and options on mortgages. She received an M.S.c degree in Financial Engineering from Columbia University in New York, where she received an academic fellowship, and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Ecole Centrale in Paris, France.
Josh Drazen is Head of the Investment Strategy and Product Development teams. He joined BlueMountain in 2007 and from 2010–2014 he served as Head of Investment Relations and Client Service. Prior to BlueMountain, Mr. Drazen served in the Corporate Strategy groups at both J.P. Morgan and Citigroup, where he developed strategic solutions across sales and trading, corporate and investment banking, equity research and retail brokerage. Mr. Drazen began his career at McKinsey & Company as a management consultant in the financial services practice. He holds a B.S. in Economics, magna cum laude from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
